A perfect season

Hi there,
I've spent January and February in finding solutions to survive financially the crisis that has been on my tracks since 2022. I have launched different projects and some have proved fertile. I had the answer this week : from June I will develop pictorial creation workshops in partnership with the city museum thanks to original devices that I developed. It is a very demanding and dusty little museum in which we could organize a very nice murder party or, even better a three days run !
(It's actually my real motivation to have taken this job)
This museum deals with the history of social movements, colonization and decolonization, as well as the suburbs and industrial heritage of my city, Montreuil- Paris' Brooklyn as they say-. The museum's field has since expanded, in particular through temporary exhibitions and I think, despite my joke, that I will be in charge there of organizing an art show one day or another.
I will earn enough money with this project which will allow me to finalize your props and surveys with peace of mind. Because how would I finish my beautiful objects if I'm on the street or if I have an empty stomach, don't I? Notice, I will be able to make an artistic performance and be thrown a few pieces but it seems a little complicated to do anyway..
Thank you to all those who put cash in the money jar to help me buy the Chinese boxes. It will allow me to place an order soon and paint the decor. For practical reasons, I would ideally like to finish the sculptures before making the boxes. I've made good progress on the plaster prints but it's not over yet. To do this, I have to go and buy polyurethane plaster and epoxy paste from my favorite supplier because I have reached the end of my stocks. I will have time this spring, especially if I sell some art prints from my last creation or even better if I sell the original.
With a lot of emotions, I can finally share a first peak at my painting "Portrait du Louvre". I've been working on this for 6 years since the "sanguine" I made as a licensed prop for "Horror on the Orient express" Chaosium Inc. It can be use as a prop but I hope it can be a work in itself that someone can love without knowing the context..It's difficult to show a picture faithful to the original painting. This one is far from perfect but I like the feeling.
I will be happy to read your comments to find out what you think about this painting.
You have a beautiful sunday,
Delphes

Best wishes to all of you !
May 2023 bring you many happiness !..as me when I'm painting my sculptures.
It feels so good to lose myself when I'm searching for the best colors of weirdness..
I've looked for the Bloated women boxes and I found a supplier in Poland that sells the box for €22. It's 7 euros more than what was calculated at the start at the french store .. and it does not include shipping costs. (I think I'll get away with it for about 100€ more)
If those who had offered to extend some cash to purchase the boxes can still do it, that would be indeed very helpful ! You can send what you can to my Paypal account with the mail [email protected]
See the box bellow :
Now, I'm focusing on earning some substantial money. But I continue to cast and paint your props at the same time.
I love it.
The monstrous is so beautiful, because it reveals the masks.
Best,
Delphes

Dear Backers,
Sorry that I didn't update sooner. I thought the last update was in October and I can't believe it was in August. I lost track of time.
I've got now three jobs in order to fill the marmite so I'm in a deep work-coma.
But of course, I've been working on your props: I made 14 pieces. It's not going fast enough I know but believe me : I do my best.
Please look at the result. I'm looking forward to sending them to you and get your feedbacks ;)
I'm looking to find a new supplier for the Bloated woman boxes because prices have increased by 30% ( averagely the same increase on many supplies )
I can't absorb the inflation that is severe for us. As soon as I find the boxes at a reasonable price I'll order them and start the paintings.
Thank you for your trust and support ;)
All the best!

Hiya,
I'm not totally dislocated by this crazy hot summer even if I'm going slowly, I'd manage to cast 8 pieces of your orders in July. it's more pieces than I previoulsy think but I didn't paint them yet. I would have to install an outdoor studio, in a windy shadowy spot of my garden to use the varnish, otherwise, I might collapse inside with the heat, in my little workshop under the roofs. I can bare to wear the mask with filters under those 42 degres.
I adapt to the situation and the to do list is progressing well.
Hope you're all going fine,
best,
Delphes

Hello !
I'm sorry I left you without news for so long (I started this update a week ago..) Things are calming down now that exhibitions season is over. I'll be in slow work for almost two months from now and I would have more time for you. Here are the pix of the Bloated Woman and the Sand bat club I promised.
I hope you can feel the madness ! I try to put my passion to make "real" props in the hope it will make the rpg experience more immersive. I really believe objects can have a key role in the game. That's why I try to make my best for people to feel what it means to have an interaction with the weirdness.
I was born in a family that worship certain objets so it's comes as natural to me. When I create those props, I'm trying to create statues of twisted worship, undeniably produced by human art of course but likely to be credited by the cultists who are supposed to craft it with the power of a divine or demonic entity.
I was wrong to imagined for so long that I could produce all of those props alone- I have this terrible tendency not to ask for help. Since I was little, I used to make my own weird stuffs in my own corner, believing I could do everything by myself...and then Kickstarters happened and I met you guys. You pulled me out of my comfort zone!I'm sorry I didn't react properly to your encouragements : Instead of thinking of a concret strategy, I panicked, and I fell back to my old habits : trying to do everything alone. But really, I prefer art when it is a collective matter in a sense that each creator takes its place in the circle, gives and uses the energy of the researches of the other. But I may have had trust issues that made difficult to ask others for help.
That being said, I'm thinking my current projects in a different way, including other skills and other people in the process.
According to my recent work sessions and my whole schedule, I think I will be able to cast and paint 5 pieces per months. I plan to finish all the orders by the end of the year. I only hope I won't have to get a third job to keep up with my financial needs because everything is changing so fast with the inflation. But even so I will be able to significantly advance the project in the meantime.
You have a lovely summer.
